Substitute applications are accepted on an on-going basis throughout the year.  To join the GCPS Substitute Teaching Program, applicants must:

GCPS substitute teachers complete online training specifically designed to help non-teachers succeed in their role as a temporary leader of the classroom. This online training addresses teaching, behavior management and classroom strategies, as well as special education basics.
