DULUTH, GA - On Saturday, March 16, Gwinnett County Public Schools will hold its annual Spring Job Fair at the Infinite Energy Center, 6400 Sugarloaf Parkway, Duluth.

Held from 8 a.m. to noon, the job fair is designed to connect certified teachers with openings in Georgia’s largest school district. Those interested should sign up at:

Gwinnett County Public Schools, one of only a handful of K-12 schools to make Forbes’ 2018 Best Employers list, employs over 23,000 and serves more than 179,000 students.

Dr. Linda Anderson, associate superintendent for Human Resources and Talent Management, said the district works hard to attract top teachers.

“We offer competitive salaries, top-notch benefit packages, ongoing support and staff development, and we work to recognize outstanding employees,” she explained. “[These] are just a few reasons why Gwinnett County Public Schools stand out.”

Sarah Tumlin, a Georgia Gwinnett College grad and teacher at Baggett Elementary, said she chose Gwinnett County Public Schools because of its supportive environment.

“I was impressed by how they helped me find the school that fit me rather than just putting me in a school where there was a great need,” she explained. “GCPS does a great job of setting you up for success in every way.”

Those attending the Spring Job Fair will need certification in one of the following fields: math, science (biology, chemistry, or physics), special education (all areas), speech-language pathology, foreign language (Spanish, French 6-12), dual language immersion (Spanish, French, Korean), middle grades (all areas), elementary with endorsements (ESOL, reading, math, science), language arts, and career and technical specialists (IT programming, computer science, engineering, health occupations).

Last year, more than 1,000 candidates were interviewed and just over 350 certified teachers were hired for the 2018-19 school year.

Gwinnett County Public Schools, located in the metro Atlanta area, is the largest school system in Georgia and continues to grow. As a school system of choice, the finest teachers, involved parents, and a supportive community are key elements in the district's quest to become a system of world-class schools. In 2018-19, the school district is serving nearly 180,000 students. One of every five Gwinnett County residents is a GCPS student. For more information, visit
